PATROL

The patrol division is the most visible function of the Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Dusty Terrill and Chief Deputy Jason Monson supervise the patrol division.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Office maintains an Investigations unit comprised of Detectives Anthony Baugh and Matthew Bruning.

TRIAD

Triad is the agreement between the law enforcement agencies in a county (Sheriff's Office, Police Departments, etc.) and senior citizens or retired persons in the community to work together.

Mercer County Sheriff's Search and Rescue was formed to support emergency services in Mercer County, Ill., the search and rescue of individuals by trained personnel.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Office offers civil process service and other responsibilities. The service is $55 plus $1 per mile per paper served.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Office is responsible for registering and gathering personal, employment, and address information on all sex offenders residing in Mercer County.

It is the mission of the Mercer County LEPC to protect the health and safety of its citizens through the development and maintenance of a chemical emergency response plan and public education and information about chemicals in the community

Mercer County Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization that offers anonymity and cash rewards to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and/or filing of criminal charges against criminal offenders and to the capture of fugitives
